How to make a bid
To bid on an item, click the 'Make Bid' button towards the bottom of the auction page. On the page that appears type your maximum bid amount in the box and click the 'Submit Bid' button. Your bid must be above the Minimum Bid amount specified for the auction that you're bidding on. Be certain that your bid is correct because once you click the 'Submit Bid' button your bid will be placed.

***Note: Our Auction System uses Proxy Bidding. When you enter your Maximum Bid your are entering the maximum amount you are willing to pay for that particular auction item. Our Auction System will automatically place a bid for you up to your maximum amount. Using proxy bidding, you can win the item at the lowest possible price. Your maximum bid is only placed when a competing bidder bids the same amount.
Please note that if the current high bidder's maximum bid is higher than the bid you place, you are immediately outbid because your bid is not high enough to beat the earlier maximum bid. Remember: Proxy bidding will confidentially & automatically bid up to your maximum, but in order to avoid being outbid, you must have the highest maximum bid. Also, if another bidder placed a higher maximum bid, your bid will increase to your maximum bid because proxy bidding bids on your behalf up to your maximum bid. Of course if you do get out bid you can always place a new bid.

Dutch Auctions
Dutch auctions (or multi-quantity auctions) have slightly different rules than regular auctions. In a Dutch auction, a bidder can bid for the quantity of items they would like to buy -- their bid amount is per item. In other words, if a bidder bids $5 for a quantity of three items, they are bidding $5 per item, or $15.
